There are reports that go by without a hitch… and then there are those from Gartner.
His latest prediction on the 12 technological disruptions that are going to shake up the business world very soon will become the roadmap for where things are headed.
You’ll see!
At ESSENTIAL, we’ve put the radar on 3 of those technologies that promise to change the rules of the game sooner than you think.
Spoiler: it’s not just AI. It’s much more.
Generative AI that not only writes… but also programs.
So far we have been talking about generative AI to create texts, images or videos. But what’s coming is another level.
Gartner calls it GenAI-enabled code architecture. In short, applications that build themselves (or almost) and adapt in real time to what the user needs.
The stat that says it all? By 2029, half of user interactions with enterprise systems will be via conversational AI, without buttons my menus.
Goodbye rigid interfaces. Hello flexible, personalized and living applications.
Security vs. disinformation: your reputation is at stake
Today’s cybersecurity is not only about defending against hackers, but also about defending against their mentrias. Deepfakes, fake newsThreats come from social networks, forums and any corner of the Internet.
Gartner is clear: by 2030, 50% of companies will have specific tools to detect and stop these attacks. We are talking about AI that analyzes content, verifies its origin and protects what is most valuable: trust in the brand.
Terrestrial intelligence: looking at the world from space (literal)
It sounds futuristic, but it’s already happening. The terrestrial intelligence is to use AI to analyze data captured from satellites, drones or ground sensors. What for? To make better business decisions. From controlling crops, to monitoring supply chains or predicting market trends.
And watch out: by 2028, 80% of the Earth’s major assets will be monitored by satellites, in real time, with trillions and trillions of data.
Today the world is a giant piece of data… you just have to know how to grasp it and read it.
What does all this leave us with?
That the future is no longer built with technology alone, but with vision and strategy.
That companies that move fast will have an advantage (and those that don’t will struggle to catch up).
And that being on the lookout for the next radical change is not just an option, if it ever was.
Gartner says so, and we’re happy to share it.
What do you think?
